M.W.B. John Herbolsheimer
Most Worshipful Brother John Herbolsheimer was installed as the 159th Grand Master of Masons of Nebraska on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Grand Master’s Address
It is my honor and privilege as Nebraska’s 159th Grand Master to continue Masonry’s legacy in Nebraska and to lead our Fraternity as we navigate modern society. Advancements in technology have connected us more than at any other time in history, yet many of us find ourselves increasingly disconnected from our friends, family, and communities. Masonry’s time-honored tenets, principles, and tools are needed now more than ever before to bring harmony and strength to ourselves and to our communities, and I invite anyone interested in Freemasonry to inquire how to begin the process of your Masonic journey.
Freemasonry in Nebraska has a rich history stretching to every corner of our great state. Our first lodges were constituted over 150 years ago and have, ever since, continued to bring together men from every walk of life to celebrate our core tenets of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. These tenets provide a foundation upon which we can build ourselves into more refined men, thereby allowing us to better serve and lead our families, friends, and communities.
Today, our Masonic family has grown to include opportunities for everyone in each stage of life. Our youth organizations build friendship, confidence, and leadership in our children which prepare them for success. There are abundant opportunities for both men and women to enjoy participation in our Masonic Appendant Bodies and Masonic Charities. Finally, and in perhaps our greatest time of need, Nebraska Masons and their relatives are assured a place of residence at our Plattsmouth Masonic Home, where skilled and compassionate care is guaranteed.
